The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) offers different programs with characteristics suggesting a strong likelihood of becoming successfully and permanently established in Manitoba, an opportunity to be assessed as candidates who can make a positive contribution to the provincial economy and, therefore, nominated for Permanent Resident Status in Canada.
You can apply for MPNP and become permanent resident through one of the following streams
Employer Direct Stream:
- Having a Valid temporary work permit
- Worked 6 months in Manitoba
- Having a long term job offer from the same employer
International Student Stream:
- Having at least a ONE year, 8 months, post-secondary diploma or degree from Manitoba
- Having a post graduate Work permit
- Worked 6 months in Manitoba
- Having a long term job offer from the same employer
Formerly Known as Student Partnership Program (SPP)

Family Support Stream
- Having a close family, lived one year in Manitoba, who signs an affidavit to support you
- Age: 21-49, Education: one year post-secondary diploma or degree
- Experience: 2 years of full time job, Language: score 5 in IELTS
- Settlement support from the relative
General Stream, skilled worker:
- A close relative in Manitoba, OR
- Affidavit of support signed by 2 friends residing in Manitoba, OR
- Having 6 months work experience in Manitoba, OR
- Completed a educational program in Manitoba
- Obtain 55 points in MPNP skilled w point system.
Business Program:
- Minimum verifiable personal net worth of CDN$350,000
- Demonstrated business or farm ownership experience or
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior management role of a successful company
